Thomas V. D'Ambrosia, 82, of Las Vegas, passed away March 9, 2012. He was born Oct. 15, 1929 in Rochester, N.Y. and was a 20-year resident of Nevada. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for four years in Germany, and was a military policeman during World War II. He was a retired automotive mechanic, and also worked for Budget and Enterprise here in Las Vegas. Thomas was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas D'Ambrosia; and his sisters, Marian DiPasquale, Rose Mary Padula, and Katherine Barbarito. He is survived by his wife, Josephine D'Ambrosia; sons, Joseph (Paula) D'Ambrosia, Thomas (Mary Ann) D'Ambrosia, and Michael (Carolyn) D'Ambrosia; daughter, Laura (Barry) Himmelsbach; sister, Elizabeth Mattucci; brother-in-law, Jack DiPasquale; grandsons, David D'Ambrosia, Christopher D'Ambrosia, and Nicholas D'Ambrosia; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friends. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 13, at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones, Las Vegas.
